Skyler Smith is a photographer based in the Hudson Valley whose work is recognized for its moody atmosphere, restrained elegance, and emotional clarity. Working across portraiture, interiors, and landscape, his photographs often balance intimacy with a cinematic sense of space, using light, texture, and tone to create images that feel both timeless and deeply human.

His work has appeared in The New York Times T Magazine, Architectural Digest, The World of Interiors, and numerous books and editorial publications. Alongside his photography practice, Smith is the founder of Studio Woodstock, a Hudson Valley studio specializing in museum-quality large format printing and conservation framing for artists, collectors, and designers.

Before founding Studio Woodstock, Smith spent more than a decade working within the commercial photography world, contributing to campaigns and editorial productions for major brands and publications. That experience continues to inform his eye, combining a sensitivity to atmosphere with a strong understanding of composition, material, and visual storytelling.

A longtime musician as well as a photographer, Smith approaches image-making with a strong sense of rhythm and mood. Whether photographing a person, a room, or a landscape, his work often explores the quiet tension between beauty, memory, and presence.
